In the summer of 2019, GVSU piloted a new academic integrity solution for online tests and quizzes that are delivered through Blackboard. This pilot was supported by the Office of the Provost, the Online Education Council, and eLearning and Emerging Technologies, and the software was selected to be adopted.
The first thing that you can expect is that online and hybrid courses at GVSU meet the same quality standards as our traditional in-seat courses. Course sizes are small, ensuring student-faculty contact.
After the pilot was completed, GVSU chose Repondus to assist with academic integrity, to serve as a deterrent and to help ensure equity around assessment for all students, and to equip faculty with monitoring their students remotely. The software became available to all faculty and students beginning in Fall 2019.
After you restart your computer and go to https://mybb.gvsu.edu, you should see a login screen like this: Click the Login to Blackboard with your GVSU Network ID & password. That will bring you to the Single-Sign On page.
Use your ID and password you use to login to Bb normally, do not use your email address or Gnumber, just the part before @mail.gvsu.edu. Click LOGIN. Please blank out the “Grand Valley State University” and then type it again. You should get a screen that looks like the one to the right.
You are entering a secure login area in which designated applications at GVSU are allowed to use your login credentials entered on this site for authentication. This allows you to login once with your network ID and password and have access to designated applications without logging in multiple times.
Blackboard Help for Instructors is also another beneficial resource to help guide instructors on how to get started and best leverage Bb Learn in teaching. More support information is available on Blackboard's Help Site for Instructors.
