Arizona’s 23rd spring training slate will open on Saturday, Feb. 22, against the Colorado Rockies. The D-backs will be the away team in that game, though of course the two franchises share their spring training facility. That game is at Salt River Fields.
Games that occur from the start of Spring Training through and including March 13 will be scheduled as 7-inning games, and may be shortened to 5-inning games (or lengthened to 9-inning games) upon mutual agreement of both managers.
The Diamondbacks share Salt River Fields with the Colorado Rockies, so you are assured of a home game pretty much any time in the months of February and March. Both teams are good draws, so planning ahead for your trip to Scottsdale and Talking Stick is a must.
