Each assembly consists of a 1-1/8" diameter flanged bearing with a 1-7/16" long x 3/8-16 threaded shaft. Two flat washers, three mounting screws and a jamb nut are also included. Thin profile allows mounting in 3/4" stock. Bearings are sold each. Construction of a glider rocker base requires 8 bearings.
Nothing lasts forever so even with the best care, wear and tear will make your glider bearing arm bracket rusty, weak or broken and should be replaced. Do not use your glider with damaged bearing arm bracket, for safety reasons.
Fitzgerald Glider Kits is North America’s number one Glider Kit assembler. In 1989, the Fitzgerald family recognized a need in the transportation industry for a quality built Glider, and with already over 10 years experience running a trucking company, they rolled their first Glider Kit out of their one bay garage.
There are a few key glider chair parts that are likely to need replacing. The main part which may become damaged or broken is the glider bearing arm. A glider bearing arm comes in certain measurements with a hole in each end.
